Learn about Victoria's Inner Harbour through its maritime past - the clam gardens of the Coast Salish, the establishment of the Hudson's Bay Company, Bastion Square's haunting past, and more. We'll explore many of the stories that led Victoria to become the city it is today.

Please note that the departure location for this tour will change on July 31st, 2021. If your tour takes place before July 31st, you will be departing from 634 Humboldt Street. If your tour takes place after July 31st, you will be departing from 744 Douglas Street.

Summer Tour Hours

Tuesday to Saturday
11:00 AM & 2:00 PM*

The tour starts at the Maritime Museum of BC and goes around the Inner Harbour, up Wharf Street, through Bastion Square, down Government Street, and back to the Museum. It runs for about an hour and includes the cost of admission. The route for this tour is wheelchair accessible. It is available in French or English. Please e-mail lrobin@mmbc.bc.ca if you would like your tour to be in French!

Currently, we recommend that all Tour participants wear masks for the duration of the Tour. Tours are limited to 4 individuals, though we allow bookings of up to 6 people if they all come from the same household. Please contact Laura Robin, School and Public Programs Manager at lrobin@mmbc.bc.ca with any questions related to a larger group booking.

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, please provide 24 hours notice for a full refund. Should the museum need to cancel, full refunds be issued.
